Have you visited our Community Kitchen yet? You'll be fed a delicious lunch (or morning or afternoon tea) prepared by our kitchen team and Work for the Dole participants, and if you're able to pay, all we ask for is a coin donation. Most meals we serve are made from quality donated food rescued from commercial outlets, or fresh herbs and vegetables grown in our Community Garden.
This program teaches our WFD crew valuable hospitality and customer service skills and improves their employability. It also works to combat social isolation, giving everyone in the community a safe and welcoming place to spend some time socialising over a hearty meal and a cuppa.
Morning and afternoon tea is served 5 days a week, with light refreshments available on Saturdays. Lunch is served 5 days a week at 12pm. Our Community Kitchen is located in our Clearance Centre at 492 Fullarton Road, Airport West – we look forward to seeing you in the dining room soon!
