HELPING HANDS MISSION’S COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM IS BACK IN 2017
After the success of last year’s Community Grants Program, which offered grants of up to $3,000 to community groups across Bridgewater and Inglewood, Helping Hands Mission are pleased to announce the Grants Program will run again in 2017.
The Church Op Shop first opened its doors in the main street of Bridgewater in 2016 with the aim of creating a social hub for the community, opportunities for volunteers and Work for the Dole participants to share their skills, and to raise money for local community groups.
Funds are distributed through the Community Grants Program and last year, Helping Hands Mission awarded grants to nine local groups including primary schools, neighbourhood houses, fire brigades and sporting clubs.
Successful applications included the purchase of audio visual equipment for the Inglewood Fire Brigade, match day and training balls for the Bridgewater Football Netball Club, and commercial kitchen equipment for the Inglewood Development and Tourism Committee.
Helping Hands Mission is now accepting applications and our goal is to distribute funds to the local community as quickly as possible – it is for this reason that applications close on 1st December, 2017 with funding being awarded on 15th December, 2017.
