HELPING HANDS MISSION’S COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM IS BACK IN 2018
After the success of last year’s Community Grants Program, which awarded over $20,000 to community groups across the Bridgewater and Inglewood regions, Helping Hands Mission are pleased to announce the program will run again in 2018.
The Church Op Shop first opened its doors in the main street of Bridgewater in 2016 with the aim of creating a social hub for the community, opportunities for volunteers and Work for the Dole participants to share their skills, and to raise money for local community groups.
Funds are distributed through the Community Grants Program and last year, Helping Hands Mission awarded grants to fifteen local groups including men’s sheds, primary schools, artistic groups, fire brigades and sporting clubs.
Successful applications included funding for a YMCA Anglesea Camp for students at the Bridgewater and Inglewood Primary Schools, shade sails over the outdoor patio area at the Inglewood Eucalyptus Distillery Museum, and a Community PA System for the Bridgewater on Loddon Development Committee Community.
Helping Hands Mission is now accepting grant applications, and information has been sent to local organisations as well as being available for download via our website.
Application documents are attached to this email and we encourage these documents to be shared throughout the community to anyone who may be interested in applying.
Applications open on Monday the 8th of October and must be submitted by close of business on Friday the 30th of November.
