Christmas 2021 recap - support from Westfield Airport West

Westfield Airport West have been regular supporters of Helping Hands Mission since the beginning of the pandemic - you may have seen the Helping Hands Mission food donation station located near Coles Airport West in recent months.

The generosity of the customers, stores and Centre Management at Westfield has been incredible and we were thrilled to learn the Airport West team also wanted to be involved in our Christmas Cupboard - the yearly campaign we run to provide access to brand new toys for low income and vulnerable families.

The Centre Management team put together this donation of high quality toys for children with a range of interests and for different ages, much to the delight of our Community Pantry families who just want to give their kids a ‘‘normal’’ Christmas.

A quote from one of our Community Pantry clients, who wished to remain anonymous:

“‘Christmas is a really hard time for me… I usually can’t give my children the same things as other families can and that’s really tough for me mentally. This year was a bit different with the extra support I received and I wanted to thank you for organising the gifts for my kids. They were so happy when they opened up their presents and it meant the world to us.’’
