Our volunteer force is the heart and soul of Helping Hands, across all five of our sites. Without our Volunteers, we couldn’t deliver Community Programs, run Op Shops or collect Donations.

To get involved, let us know how you’d like to help by completing the appropriate forms below, and either return your copy via email or hand it in directly to our staff at the Op Shop you’d like to volunteer at.

If you connect with the work, values and commitment of Helping Hands, there are many ways you can get involved and promote what we do.

An ambassador is someone who actively promotes and supports the work of our charity. That might be via the media or an online platform but there are also lots of other ways you can help, whether you’re part of a school or community group, you’re a student, run a business, or you’re a passionate customer or client who just wants to spread the word about the work of our charity.

Our Community Programs - such as the Community Pantry and Birthday Cupboard - provide essentials to over five hundred families in need across Melbourne. Helping Hands relies on donations from supporters such as supermarkets, local hospitality businesses and retail stores to offer living essentials and that little extra for special occasions.
